🎲 on uncertainty
A brief hiatus due to uncertainty. Not RosalÃa and reggaeton, nor micro-dosing, and not Peter Strickland. But uncertainty.

There are competing thoughts for this week’s post — I unexpectedly saw RosalÃa on Friday night which reignited my interest in writing a follow-up on Reggaeton, with its sense of identity outside the pull of America’s media corporations [1 ]. There’s reiterating my thoughts on syncretism viewed through a lens fashioned from the films of Peter Strickland. Alongside an interesting encounter with a micro-dosing evangelist (given currency by recent news from Australia) resulting from my philosophy of pulling threads .
But I’m uncertain.
Uncertainty being somewhat in the air at the moment.
As may be apparent by this week’s hero image. A week which has played with my concepts of time. Consider this a placeholder for a post later this week when I’ve made up my mind.
To avoid prolonging too much suspense, here’s the answer to the who the hell is RosalÃa question you may be asking, and the video that first put her on my radar a few years ago.
I also purchased this, since I have misplaced my unread copy of her The Girls, and with time fluctuating short stories seem a good option.

Legally I have to tell you I might get five pence or something from Bookshop dot org should you purchase something, but really I just want to stick it to Amazon and keep independent bookshops alive. Yeah, rebel me, bringing the man down from the inside etc etc.
Hope you are ok. They are some snazzy footwear!
