Every Sunday morning, around 10:30 am GMT

Short story, short. Please?

In today’s speak, the intersection between mild philosophy, consumerism and fuzzy memoir. A weekly meditation, like Marcus Aurelius, on something I’ve purchased, and liked, and what it says about us, about me.

Probably more pretentious than Aurelius, but I certainly hope more fun. Total killjoy that Marcus. More in line with Epicurus’s shopping list. Lyre, check. Lentils, check. Wine, check.

If it’s been a good week, sent on Sunday morning, in time to be read over toast, with blackcurrant jam.

Thank you for indulging me, I like writing, and would like to get better at it. Sharing my thoughts on why we buy the things we do, in the hope they bring relief, enlightenment, and pleasure, seems a good place as any to practice placing words into an entertaining order.
